The Legacy of Camp Big Daddy

Camp Big Daddy has been in our family for more than 65 years. It has weathered Hurricane Betsy and Hurricane Camille, been rebuilt after a fire in 1967, only to rebuilt again after Hurricane Katrina. Through it all, it has remained the place our family returns to — to fish and crab, to boil seafood, to swim, and to gather — right on the edge of beautiful Lake Catherine.
More than "just a camp," our camp is where our family reconnects — where generations have gone to make fond memories. It stands as a testament to resilience, tradition, and the simple joy of being together by the water. We hope you’ll come experience it for yourself and allow Camp Big Daddy to become a meaningful part of your own family’s story.
